While their sound pays authentic homage to the greats of classic country, blues, and rock & roll, 4HR is neither “revivalist” nor “purist” in their approach – let a close listen to their 2010 debut, COLOSSALALIA, be proof. If -- in the words of Harlan Howard -- great songs consist of only “three chords and the truth,” then 4HR’s music might best be described as “however many chords and whatever works.”
